27 Vehicles including 9 Excavators Seized, 9 FIR’s registered, 18 Offenders Arrested
Reasi: Today in an action against illegal mining, Reasi police lodged nine case FIR’s & arrested 18 offenders with the seizure of 27 vehicles including 9 excavators involved in theft of minor minerals in different areas of district Reasi.
In incidents of illegal mining at Anji Khad Reasi, case FIR’s numbers 62, 63 and 64 US 379 IPC and 3/4 Damaged to Public Property Act stands registered at Police Station Reasi and investigations initiated. During the course of investigations Excavator bearing registration numbers JK20B 6727 and two Excavators without numbers, four dumpers bearing registration numbers JK19A 0175, JK02CH 0450, JK20A 4797 and JK02BJ 1410 seized in the case and drivers of the vehicles namely Vijay Kumar son of Shanker Singh resident of Sewna Chenani Udhaipur, Suram Chand son of Girdhari Lal resident of Bhagga Seela, Arif Khan son of Mohd Iqbal resident of Kala Kot, Rajouri and Mir Hussain son of Qasam Din resident of Talwara, Jugal Kumar son of Diwan Chand resident of Khinyari, Govind son of Krishan Lal resident of Khanyari tehsil Pouni got arrested in the case.
In another incident of illegal mining at Hemna, case FIR no 65 Stands registered at Police Station Reasi & investigation initiated.
Two Excavators bearing registration numbers JK02BJ 3881 and one without number, four Dumpers bearing registration numbers JK11A 0533, JK14C 7526, JK11C 3224 and JK02CS 9810 seized in the case and offenders namely Purab Singh son of Kartar Singh resident of Sanghad tehsil Pouni, Raj Kumar son of Chaman Lal resident of Bhamla, Ajit Singh son of Dharam Singh resident of Ransoo, Mohd Arif son of Mohd Amir Khan resident of Azmabad tehsil Mandi district Poonch got arrested in the case.
In Kanthan block incident of illegal mining reported and case FIR No. 66 Stands registered at Police Station Reasi with the seizure of two Excavators (Earth Movers) and two dumpers bearing registration numbers JK20B 5464, JK20 5169.
Owner and drivers of the Vehicles namely Kashmir Singh son of Mohan Singh resident of Bandrai Sunderbani, Kayam Din son of Mohd Sharief resident of Latti Udhampur, Karpal Singh son of Janak Singh resident of Bantalab got arrested in the case.
In Arnas area case FIR No. 33 stands registered at Police Station Arnas after reporting the incident of illegal mining and vehicles Tippers bearing registration numbers JK20A 5275, JK20A 1703, 1 JCB without registration numbers seized in the instant case with the arrest of Tariq Ahmed son of Abdul Majid resident of Garhi Arnas, Rashpal Singh son of Punjabu Ram resident of Salal, Ajay Sharma son of Bal Krishan resident of Akhnoor got arrested in the case.
After getting reports of illegal mining in Mahore area case FIR No. 13/2022 stands registered at Police Station Mahore and 1 JCB without registration number and 4 Tractors trolly bearing registration numbers JK20 6091, JK20 2140, JK20 2340 and one without number seized in the case.
In Kakryal Katra case FIR No. 78 stands registered against a Tractor trolly bearing registration number JK20B 2150 for illegal mining. Vehicle seized in the instant case with the arrest of driver namely Sajad Ahmed son of Gafar Ahmed resident of Terin Meyari tehsil Katra.
In Dera Baba area trolly bearing Chassis No. MBNAU53ADKCE27507 seized in the case FIR No. 67 registered for illegal mining in the area and driver of the vehicle namely Sunny Kumar son of Sham Lal resident of Serwad Katra got arrested in the case.
While giving the details SSP Reasi Amit Gupta conveyed that Reasi Police is committed for protecting the public property & ‘Rights of Consumer’ & enforcing genuine rates of goods & services in the jurisdiction. Police is also committed to eradicate the menace illegal mining and other mining related issues in the area.
