UIDAI Update: How to get Aadhaar PVC cards for full family using one mobile number

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched a new service called “Aadhaar PVC Card,” which allows Aadhaar holders to have their Aadhaar details printed on a PVC card for a nominal fee.

Recently, it announced that a single person can order PVC Aadhaar cards for all members of his/her family using a single mobile phone number.

Aadhaar is a 12-digit identification number issued by the UIDAI to all Indian residents. As per UIDAI website, “Aadhaar PVC Card is the latest form of Aadhaar introduced by UIDAI. Other than being easy to carry and durable, the PVC-based Aadhaar Card has a digitally signed secure QR code with photograph and demographic details with multiple security features.”

According to the UIDAI tweet, “You can use any mobile number to receive OTP for authentication, regardless of the registered mobile number with your Aadhaar. So, one person can order Aadhaar PVC cards online for the whole family.”

As per the tweet, individuals can now receive OTP for authentication from any mobile number, regardless of the registered mobile number with their Aadhaar. Note that charges to be paid are Rs 50 , which is inclusive of GST & speed post charges, per Aadhaar PVC card.
